Rabbits survive in various habitats, but they do especially well in grasslands
near water. Many rabbit and hare species tolerate human presence, so we frequently see
them around farms, towns, and even cities.
The European Rabbit has been domesticated and make popular pets (although not recommended
for children). When raised with care, they will bond to people and display affection, much
like dogs or cats. Best of all, they are quiet!
